Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree required.
• EIT certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of highway/transportation engineering experience.
• Experience with ORD/InRoads/MicroStation/Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, FDOT, MUTCD, and ADA standards.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design of roadways, highways and transportation projects.
• Prepare geometric layouts and MOT plans.
• Develop construction plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Use ORD, MicroStation, Civil 3D to create design models.
• Coordinate with project managers and other staff.
• Support field investigations and data collection.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state design standards.
