Applied Resource Group partners with an established engineering firm in Delaware to hire a Highway Design Project Engineer. This is an early-career Civil Engineer role focusing on highway, roadway, and transportation design with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office; 2 remote).

The ideal candidate will contribute to transportation infrastructure projects across Delaware and work under experienced engineers and project managers, with a path toward PE licensure.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in civil engineering required.
• 0–3 years of professional engineering experience.
• Interest in highway/transportation engineering.
• Familiarity with design software like MicroStation/ORD/Civil 3D preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support highway and transportation project design and development.
• Perform engineering calculations under supervision.
• Prepare plans, drawings, specs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with engineers, clients, and regulators during delivery.
• Ensure designs meet state and federal standards.
