Job summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform debris and litter cleanup and roadway maintenance in the Houston, TX area.

Responsibilities include debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, and concrete work, with adherence to all applicable regulations and company policies. Ideal candidates have experience with road maintenance equipment, OSHA/traffic control knowledge, and the ability to work varying shifts, including nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions.
• Maintain proper safety equipment for each job.
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology.
• Ability to use a smartphone and applications.
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedules.
• Ability to work safely under varied environmental and weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; may perform strenuous manual labor.
• Ability to operate hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform debris removal, roadway maintenance, and repair tasks.
• Maintain and repair signs, guardrails, and concrete as needed.
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
• Work in a team to support debris and litter crews during scheduled shifts and emergencies.
