Job summary

Knife River in Southern Idaho is seeking hard-working Laborers to support construction sites. You will clean and prepare sites, unload and load materials, read plans and specifications, tend machines and assist Foremen and other site workers.

Minimum qualifications include 1–2 years’ experience in heavy highway labor, or willingness to train the right person. Candidates must be able to perform manual labor, stay physically strong, and communicate information clearly.

• Ability to maintain hand-eye coordination during tasks.
• Endurance to perform manual labor for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with manual operations at heavy highway construction sites.
• Participate in demolitions.
• Work with underground utilities.
• Remove trees and debris.
• Read blueprints and designs.
• Control traffic.
• Clear and prepare highway work zones.
• Dig trenches.
• Install sewer, water, and storm drainpipes.
• Pour concrete and/or asphalt onto roads.
• Operate tools and machines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
