Job summary

Walden University is seeking an Academic Operations Specialist/Contracts Specialist for Field Experience. The role supports the Office of Applied Learning Agreements and university legal staff to manage field experience contracts and affiliation agreements.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of contract administration/negotiation experience in a higher education setting, with strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Qualifications

• 3 years of corporate contract administration/negotiation experience required.
• BA/BS or relevant work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of education and healthcare affiliation agreements preferred.
• Self-starter with thoroughness and attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Confidentiality and discretion in handling information.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate affiliation agreements between Walden and field sites for student field experiences.
• Negotiate contract terms with existing and potential affiliates.
• Track and manage contracts, amendments and issues related to field experiences.
• Review contracts and affiliation agreements for university compliance.
• Draft correspondence and communications related to field contracts.
