Job summary

Walden University in Maryland is seeking an Academic Operations Specialist/Contracts Specialist for Field Experience to support Walden's Office of Applied Learning Agreements and legal staff. You will manage field experience contracts and affiliation agreements, focusing on education and nursing programs, with strong emphasis on negotiation and compliance.

Qualifications

• 3 years of corporate contract administration/negotiation experience.
• BA/BS or relevant work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of education and healthcare affiliation agreements preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• High sensitivity to the confidential nature of the work.
• Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
• High computer literacy including Word, Access and Excel.
• Familiarity with Outlook and PowerPoint preferred.
• Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision, balanced with teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate affiliation agreements with field sites for student field experiences.
• Negotiate contract terms with affiliates.
• Manage and track contracts, amendments and issues.
• Review contracts and affiliation agreements for university requirements.
• Prepare correspondence related to field experience contracts and agreements.
• Assist with annual revision of contracts and forms.
• Research state and federal laws related to student field experiences.
• Collaborate with legal staff and site representatives on contract changes.
• Understand university insurance and indemnity requirements.
• Develop processes and systems for contract review and management.
• Data tracking and reporting; support additional projects.
