Job summary

Whataburger Restaurants is seeking a Restaurant Manager to oversee a high‑volume location and a team of over fifty Family Members. You will drive operational performance, coach staff, and ensure food safety and guest satisfaction daily.

In this role, you’ll lead shifts, manage labor and costs, and partner with the Operating Partner to push improvements and growth opportunities within the restaurant family. This position is based at your home restaurant with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred or equivalent experience.
• Open availability including overnights, weekends, holidays, variable hours, and reliable attendance.
• 1–3 years of leadership experience.
• ServSafe Food Manager Certification (or ability to obtain before training).
• Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain current auto liability insurance as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations to meet quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Champion hospitality and guest service by creating friendly, fast, and authentic Whataburger experiences.
• Coach, develop, and support Family Members to reach their full potential.
• Be responsible for achieving restaurant goals across sales, labor, food cost, and profitability.
• Ensure food safety, workplace safety, and adherence to brand standards.
• Model Whataburger values and create a positive, inclusive work environment.
• Lead shift transitions and maintain smooth operations across all day parts.
• Guide talent development, training, hiring, and retention in partnership with restaurant leadership.
