Job summary

Basso on the Plaza is seeking a talented General Manager to oversee daily operations of a busy restaurant and bar. You will lead staff, ensure exceptional guest service, manage financial performance and enforce health and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of restaurant management, strong leadership, and a passion for hospitality. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required; experience with POS systems and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of restaurant management experience, including high-volume settings.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office; knowledge of local health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the restaurant and bar, ensuring high standards of service and quality.
• Lead, train and motivate staff members including servers, bartenders, chefs and support staff.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability.
• Monitor and control inventory, ordering supplies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and liquor laws.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints and feedback in a professional manner.
• Oversee scheduling, payroll and staff performance evaluations.
• Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Analyze financial reports and implement cost-control measures.
