Job summary

Channell is seeking a Process Technician in North Las Vegas, NV to set up and operate molding and finishing equipment and ensure daily production schedules are met with quality parts. You will perform preventive maintenance, document shift performance, and support manufacturing activities to uphold safety, quality, and 5S standards while collaborating with engineering on process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of related molding plastics processing and maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in machine start-up and shutdown.
• Knowledge of basic machine functions.
• Ability to lift up to 30/50 pounds.
• Submit to background check, pre-employment drug screen.
• Pass work physical and lift test.
• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to speak, read/comprehend and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of material handling, molding, finishing and assembly equipment.
• Responsible for mold change and machine adjustments.
• Start up and shut down of the molding machines.
• Operate forklift to do mold changes.
• Fill out the daily process records necessary to control and maintain machine running conditions.
• Conduct minor repairs and change inserts as necessary.
• Inspect machines hourly to ensure production of acceptable quality parts.
• Report daily shift performances including safety, quality, labor hours, and scrap.
