Job summary

Channell Commercial Corp in North Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Process Technician responsible for setting up and operating molding and related equipment to meet daily production schedules. You will ensure machines run safely and efficiently and document performance.

Requirements include 3+ years in molding plastics processing, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, HS diploma, and fluency in English. Background check and pre-employment screening are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related molding plastics processing and maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in machine start-up and shutdown.
• Ability to lift up to 30/50 pounds.
• Basic data entry.
• Submit to background check, pre-employment drug screen.
• Pass work physical and lift test.
• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to speak, read/comprehend and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate a variety of material handling, molding, finishing and assembly equipment.
• Responsible for mold change and machine adjustments.
• Start up and shut down of the molding machines.
• Operate forklift to do mold changes.
• Use forklift to move and organize molds.
• Fill out the daily process records necessary to control and maintain machine running conditions.
• Conduct minor repairs and change inserts, as necessary.
• Monitor production quantities for color change, mold change and product completions.
• Identify and resolve issues in the assigned working area related to equipment, machines, personnel, process, training, and materials.
• Provide recommendations to engineering about process improvement opportunities for processes, practices, equipment, performance, and efficiency of operations.
• Inspect machines hourly in the assigned working area to ensure production of acceptable quality parts to prevent mass production of defective or unacceptable parts (scrap).
• Accurately report daily shift performances, including safety, quality, labor hours, production tickets, scrap, and first part approvals.
