Job summary

Live Nation Entertainment is seeking a motivated kitchen team member at our House of Blues location to help prepare high-volume meals in a fast-paced environment.

You'll follow standardized recipes, maintain safety and sanitation, and collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely plate presentation. A valid Health Department Food Handler Certificate and high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Health Department Food Handler Certification.
• Experience with high-volume kitchen operations.
• Ability to inspect food spoilage and ensure proper rotation.
• Strong kitchen sanitation practices.
• Prep work and line preparation experience.
• Expediting knowledge and fast-paced execution.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and plate presentation.
• Maintain pace of a high-volume kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Organize and prioritize preparation of food items.
• Prepare food according to standardized recipes.
• Ensure proper size and weight of food portions.
• Coordinate food preparation with other kitchen staff.
• Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area during shift.
• Follow standard recipes for presentation of food items.
• Prepare plate presentations according to standard recipes.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and walk-in cooler.
• Ensure kitchen area remains clean and free of hazards during shift.
• Keep floor clean and free of food items or obstacles.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards.
• Prepare kitchen equipment and set up station for shift.
• Ensure proper rotation of all food items, including lifting/moving up to 180 lbs.
• Open and close duties.
• Sanitation and safety compliance.
• Attitude and teamwork.
• Adherence to House of Blues policies.
• Assist other kitchen as needed.
