Placements24 is seeking an Events Chef de Partie for a high-volume catering operation in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will run a designated station, prepare diverse menus, and work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to deliver exceptional events.

Formación

• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen.
• Solid cooking techniques and food preparation knowledge.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and teamwork abilities.
• Good communication and collaboration with the team.
• Passion for food and willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Culinary qualification or apprenticeship is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and cook menu items for events according to recipes and quality standards.
• Manage your station during service with timely preparation and plating.
• Assist with inventory, stock rotation, and receiving supplies for your section.
• Maintain a clean workstation, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure smooth service and workflow.
• Support Sous Chef and Head Chef in menu development and special tasks.
• Minimize food waste through efficient prep and utilization.
• Follow instructions from senior staff on prep and presentation.
• Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
• Participate in daily briefings and operational meetings.
