Job summary

Clayton Homes is seeking a Cook (Bistro) for our high-volume corporate kitchen serving the headquarters. The role prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of items daily, adhering to recipes, safety standards, and quality expectations.

You will collaborate with kitchen staff, support inventory control, and maintain a clean, organized workstation. Full-time team members receive benefits and participate in the Clayton Impact program.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic cooking methods and kitchen equipment.
• Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and health regulations.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and maintain consistency in a high-volume setting.
• Strong time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to estimate quantities and manage inventory.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and production schedules.
• Portion and plate food to meet quality and consistency standards.
• Read menus and production sheets to determine quantities and preparation needs.
• Assist with ingredient prep and basic cutting/marinating tasks.
• Maintain temperatures and cooking times to ensure safety and quality.
• Follow HACCP principles and proper storage/labeling.
