Job summary

Gillman Home Center in Batesville, IN seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to handle high-volume AP and assist with reconciliations. This full-time role requires organization and attention to detail in a fast-paced office.

You will review invoices, process vendor payments, collaborate with vendors, customers, sales and accounting teams, and support other projects as needed. Prior AP/GL experience and proficiency with Excel are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required.
• 3+ years of Accounts Payable and/or General Ledger experience.
• Strong problem solving skills and accounting principles knowledge.
• Self-starter, highly organized with attention to detail and reliability.
• Proficient in Excel and Word; strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; works well independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to team members, customers and vendors.
• Performs routine accounting activities such as account reconciliation, preparation of accounting reports and accounts payable functions.
• Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Process vendor invoices; match invoices and enter into system.
• Collaborate with vendors, customers, the sales and accounting teams and management.
• Assist with other projects and duties as assigned by supervisor.
