Job summary

Gillman Home Center is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Batesville, IN headquarters. You will handle high-volume AP, perform reconciliations, and ensure accurate processing of invoices in a fast-paced office environment.

The role requires 3+ years in AP/GL, strong Excel/Word skills, and excellent organizational abilities. Local travel to the bank is minimal; full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, in-office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Accounts Payable and/or General Ledger experience.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable, and general ledger systems and procedures
• Strong problem solving skills, thorough accounting principles knowledge, research and resolution skills
• Proficient in Excel and Word; highly organized and a self-starter
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to our team members, customers and vendors.
• Performs routine accounting activities such as account reconciliation, preparation of various accounting reports and accounts payable functions.
• Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Process vendor invoices; matching invoices and entering into computer system.
• Collaborate seamlessly with vendors, customers, the sales and accounting teams and management.
• Assist with other projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
