Gillman Home Center in Batesville, Indiana, seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to handle high-volume AP and assist with account reconciliations in a fast-paced office environment.

You will ensure proper documentation, review invoices, process payments, and collaborate with vendors, customers, and internal teams with strong attention to detail and Excel/Word proficiency.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in Accounts Payable and/or General Ledger.
• Thorough knowledge of AP/GL systems, chart of accounts and procedures.
• Strong problem solving, accounting principles knowledge, data analysis and multitasking.
• Must be highly organized, self-starter, detail oriented and reliable.
• Proficient in Excel and Word.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to team members, customers and vendors.
• Performs routine accounting activities such as account reconciliation and preparation of accounting reports and AP functions.
• Review invoices for documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Process vendor invoices; match invoices and enter into the system.
• Collaborate with vendors, customers, sales and accounting teams and management.
• Assist with other projects and duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
