Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Substation Technician -B to support construction, maintenance and repair of substation equipment across multiple locations, with assignments in Texas and potentially other states. The role demands climbing, confined spaces, and the ability to work in elevated and harsh outdoor environments.

The technician will perform tasks from foundational work and buswork to transformers, switchgear, and control buildings.

Qualifications

• Must perform rigorous physical labor.
• Must possess a valid Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL).
• Must supply personal hand tools and safety boots.
• Capable of lifting over 50 lbs.
• Travel up to 90% with overtime during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance or repair of substation equipment and systems.
• Work with high/low voltage buswork, terminations, control buildings and feeders.
• Maintain company vehicles, test equipment and tools in good condition.
• Follow safety rules and job site procedures.
• Coach crew members and interpret substation drawings for layouts.
