Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Substation Technician - B for construction, maintenance and repair of substation equipment and systems. The role requires 4–6 years of continuous experience with 525 kV and below equipment, and travel to Florida and other states as needed.

The position is non-exempt and based at various locations; 90% travel is required, with potential emergency overtime. Candidate must possess a CDL, bring personal tools, safety boots, and be able to lift over 50 lbs and work at

Qualifications

• Must possess a Commercial Drivers’ License.
• Must supply own personal hand tools required by the company for this work.
• Must supply own safety toed work boots.
• Must be capable of lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
• Must be capable of climbing and working at heights up to 125 feet.
• 90% Travel Required.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces/areas.
• Must be able to coach subordinates on the crew.
• Must be able to develop and interpret a material list.
• Must be able to trace out phasing in a substation and verify to the three line diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair, testing, adjusting and troubleshooting work of substation equipment/systems.
• Cutting-edge work involving concrete foundations, ground grids, and steel erection.
• Operate and service high voltage substation equipment and associated apparatus.
