Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks a Substation Designer (CAD Technician) to prepare schematic and wiring diagrams for high voltage substations and renewable interconnections. You will collaborate with engineers and drafters to produce accurate drawings and meet project schedules.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in Design & Drafting Technology and at least 3 years CAD experience, with AutoCAD proficiency and prior substation drafting exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• CAD drafting of engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve drawing discrepancies.
• Prepare schematics, single-line and three-line drawings.

Responsibilities

• Draft schematic and wiring diagrams for high-voltage substations.
• Coordinate with engineers and other drafters to ensure accuracy.
• Meet project schedules and quality requirements.
• Assist in project delivery and related communications.
