Job summary

William Charles Electric, a MasTec Company, is seeking a Project Engineer for high voltage and renewables projects with on-site duties across the Midwest. This role works with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors and clients to ensure quality, scheduling and contract compliance.

The position requires on-site presence with three-week rotations and a $1,020 per week per diem to cover living expenses during travel. A company vehicle and fuel card are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred (Civil, Construction Management or related field).
• 2 years of experience in Civil, Electrical or Industrial Construction required.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Prepare scheduling of subcontractors on site.
• Receive and check quality of materials.
• Complete QA/QC checklists.
• Process submittals (material approvals).
• Handle RFIs (general questions).
• Prepare official project documents, routing and finalizing.
• Produce project reports as needed.
• Provide back-up documentation and close-out quantities.
• Propose/negotiate extra work.
• Support special projects within Project Management as needed.
