Job summary

William Charles Electric, a MasTec Company, is seeking a Project Engineer to support project teams with documentation and QA/QC duties across multiple Midwest sites. The role collaborates with site superintendents to optimize labor, equipment, and subcontractor use for efficient project delivery.

You will travel up to 75% to sites in the Midwest, with per diem, a company vehicle, and fuel card provided. The position requires driving and licensing, and supports diverse projects across civil,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Civil, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2 years of experience in Civil, Electrical or Industrial Construction is required.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Prepare scheduling of subcontractors on site.
• Receive and check quality of materials.
• Complete QA/QC checklists.
• Handle submittals (material approvals).
• Prepare RFIs (general questions).
• Prepare official project documents, routing and finalizing.
• Prepare project reports as needed.
• Assist with back up documentation.
• Close-outs final quantities.
• Propose/ negotiate extra work.
• Support special projects within Project Management as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Management Department.
