Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a High Voltage Field Service Engineer to support installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of high voltage equipment up to 800kV. You will work at customer sites, assist with commissioning and maintenance, and document test results.

You will collaborate with service and engineering teams, gain hands-on experience with HV equipment, and participate in health and retirement benefits as part of a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service, installation, testing, or repair of high voltage equipment.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with knowledge of substation equipment.
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service activities involving installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair of high voltage equipment.
• Support commissioning, maintenance, overhaul, upgrade, and retrofit projects at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment issues and assist with corrective actions.
• Conduct testing activities and document results using established procedures.
• Coordinate work activities with internal teams and customer representatives.
