Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a High Voltage Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair up to 800kV equipment in customer sites. You will work with experienced professionals, support commissioning and maintenance, and document results from field tests.

The role emphasizes high voltage power equipment, hands-on field work, and collaboration with service and engineering teams to ensure reliable power infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in technical field service, construction, or power equipment environments.
• Trade education in Industrial Mechanic or Electrical trades, or a technical engineering degree.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service activities including installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of high voltage equipment.
• Support commissioning and maintenance projects at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and assist with corrective actions.
• Conduct testing and document results using established procedures.
• Review data to support issue resolution and coordinate with internal teams and customers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
