Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Boston is seeking a High Voltage Field Service Engineer to support installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of high voltage equipment up to 800kV at customer sites. Working alongside experienced service professionals, you will perform field assignments and assist with commissioning and maintenance activities.

You will document results, coordinate with internal and customer teams, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Work authorization to work in the United States
• 1–3 years of technical field service or related experience
• Experience with installation, maintenance, testing, or repair of electrical or mechanical equipment
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with substation/high voltage equipment knowledge
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint

Responsibilities

• Perform field service activities including installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of high voltage equipment
• Support commissioning, maintenance, overhaul, upgrade, and retrofit projects at customer sites
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist with corrective actions
• Document testing results using established procedures
• Review data to support issue resolution and coordinate with internal teams and customers
• Identify opportunities to improve operations and customer service
• Support field test equipment operation on projects
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines
