Job summary

Sperton Global AS is partnering with a global leader in power and technology to hire a Field Service Engineer. This full-time, field-based role requires up to 85% travel to customer sites and involves installation, testing, commissioning, and repair of high-voltage equipment (69kV–550kV).

The engineer will plan and lead field assignments, supervise contractors, perform field testing, analyze data, and ensure safety compliance on every site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in high-voltage substations >69kV.
• SF6 circuit breakers/gas systems experience desirable.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and lead field assignments for HV equipment.
• Install, commission, and maintain high-voltage substations (69kV–550kV).
• Supervise contractors and electricians on site.
• Conduct field testing and troubleshoot issues with advanced tools.
• Analyze test data and prepare detailed reports.
• Ensure safety policies are followed on all sites.
• Travel up to 85% and adapt to varied environments.
