Job summary

SANY Group in Atlanta seeks a talented Electrical Design Engineer to own the high and low-voltage electrical system for mining machinery. You will shape schematics, wiring harness architectures, and safety protections, from concept to integration.

You will coordinate CAN interfaces, grounding and shielding strategies for EMC compliance, perform prototype and machine commissioning, and drive issue resolution and reliability improvements with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience designing high/low-voltage electrical systems for complex machinery.
• Ability to define CAN interfaces and EMC considerations.
• Experience leading prototype and machine commissioning.
• Strong BOM management and supplier coordination.

Responsibilities

• Design the complete machine high/low-voltage electrical system and safety protections.
• Select components, design wiring harnesses, 3D layouts, BOMs, and specs.
• Define CAN interfaces and grounding/shielding to meet EMC requirements.
• Lead prototype and machine commissioning, resolve electrical issues to closure.
• Coordinate with suppliers for samples, participate in FMEA, improve reliability.

Job description

• Responsible for the overall scheme design of the complete machine high & low-voltage electrical system, develop electrical schematic diagrams and wiring harness architecture planning, and implement mine electrical safety protection requirements.
• Complete component selection and 3D layout design for vehicle wiring harnesses, electrical parts, control cabinets, motors and energy storage system components; compile BOM and component technical specifications.
• Define CAN communication interfaces and signal interaction logic by coordinating with each controller, and integrate grounding and shielding solutions to meet EMC design requirements.
• Participate in prototype bench commissioning, complete machine commissioning and mine industrial tests; independently resolve electrical issues and drive rectification to full closure.
• Liaise with suppliers for sample verification and technical briefing, take part in FMEA analysis, and continuously improve the reliability of the electrical system.
