Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Troy, MI seeks an experienced electrical systems engineer to lead architecture of vehicle power and control systems. You will design HV and LV layouts and develop end-to-end system specifications aligned with product requirements.

You will evaluate components, create schematics, perform risk assessments, and work with validation teams on QA activities. The role requires multi-project multitasking and collaboration with business units to enable

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical system architecture for automotive or similar environments.
• Strong ability to develop end-to-end system specifications aligned with product requirements.
• Design of electrical and electronics systems including interfaces and behaviors.
• Experience with selection of electrical components and proto-type vehicle integration.
• Ability to perform system risk assessments and mitigation planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical system designs and schematics.
• Create and manage requirements for electrical components (sensors, controllers, appliances).
• Work on prototype vehicles to install electrical systems and coordinate QA/validation.
• Collaborate with business units to enable commercialization and IP assessment.

Job description

• Good experience of electrical system architecture and sub systems.
• Strong experience on developing HV and LV layout.
• Develop end to end functional specifications and requirements on system level in line with the overall product requirements
• Design electrical and electronics systems by identifying the purpose and aim of the system, the component interface, and system behaviors.
• Manage global function targets and coordinate the end-to-end function owners
• Experience with selection of electrical components, specifications and related system on proto-type vehicles.
• Develop electrical system designs and schematics.
• Candidate must know vehicle testing, troubleshooting and provide solution based on results.
• Must be comfortable working on multiple projects with varying levels of complexity at the same time.
• Develop requirements for electrical components (sensors, controllers, appliances, or any other related components) ,
• Evaluate and select electrical components, Conduct and facilitate electrical sub-system risk assessments and mitigation plans.
• Work on proto-type vehicles to install electrical systems, Work with validation team to develop and implement QA and validation activities.
• Work with Business units or other appropriate group to enable the commercialization of system. Assist in assessment and acquisitions of relevant intellectual properties
