Job summary

Raso360 is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Vallejo, CA to design, develop, test, and integrate electrical systems for complex products. You will work on electrical architecture, wiring harnesses, power distribution, and system integration with cross-functional teams.

You will prototype, validate, and document designs, collaborate with vendors, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards; prior experience with CAN/LIN is preferred and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2–6 years of professional electrical engineering experience.
• Experience with automotive, aerospace, EV, industrial, or other complex electrical systems.
• Knowledge of electrical system design, power distribution, wiring, and components.
• Experience with low- and/or high-voltage systems.
• Familiarity with CAN, LIN, or other communication protocols.
• Ability to read and develop electrical schematics and technical documentation.

Job description

• The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and integrating electrical systems and components for complex products and equipment. This role will support electrical architecture, wiring and harness design, power distribution, system integration, prototype development, and validation. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Design, Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, and external vendors, to ensure electrical systems meet technical requirements, quality standards, and project timelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, wiring, harnesses, and power distribution using electrical design and engineering tools.
• Support the integration of new electrical systems and components into products and production environments.
• Develop and prototype electrical harnesses and assist with installation of electrical components.
• Perform electrical testing and troubleshooting on prototypes, equipment, and bench setups.
• Document test results, design changes, system configurations, and other engineering information.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Support component selection, electrical system validation, and prototype bring-up activities.
• Work with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to resolve electrical and engineering issues.
• Support communication and integration systems such as CAN, LIN, or similar protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify issues, develop solutions, and meet project milestones.
• Follow established safety procedures when working with electrical systems, equipment, and shop tools.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and report safety concerns as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 2–6 years of professional electrical engineering experience.
• Experience with automotive, aerospace, EV, industrial, or other complex electrical systems.
• Knowledge of electrical system design, power distribution, wiring, and electrical components.
• Experience with low-voltage and/or high-voltage electrical systems.
• Familiarity with CAN, LIN, or other communication protocols.
• Understanding of electrical engineering principles and system integration.
• Ability to read and develop electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Basic hands-on experience with tools, equipment, and prototype systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing or modeling electrical systems using ECAD or electrical harness design software.
• Experience with RapidHarness, Arena PLM, Onshape, or similar engineering tools.
• Experience with prototype development, vehicle/equipment integration, or electrical validation.
• Familiarity with PLM systems and engineering change processes.
• Experience working with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
