Job summary

Confidential is seeking an Electrical Design Contingent Engineer to support projects through electrical design, 3D/2D CAD, prototyping, and assembly trials, coordinating with internal teams and suppliers.

You will apply HV know-how, create BOMs, harness layouts, perform hand calculations, and ensure targets for performance, cost, weight, and manufacturability, with travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics or related field.
• 3–5+ years in electrical design engineering (automotive/high‑performance).
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (CATIA V5/V6 or 3D Experience).
• Strong HV systems knowledge including creepage/clearance.
• Experience designing wire harnesses and subsystems.
• Ability to perform engineering hand calculations.
• GD&T knowledge (preferred).
• DFM collaboration with manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical design activities supporting project requirements.
• Develop new or improved designs with 3D/2D, focusing on manufacturability and cost.
• Perform engineering hand calculations (e.g., beam bending, pressure drop).
• Apply creepage and clearance for high‑voltage components.
• Design wire harnesses and harness layout.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Participate in assembly/manufacturing trials and vendor visits.
• Liaise between Project Management and Design Group Lead.
• Provide updates to design team and group leads.
• Maintain BOM and pictorials per milestones.
• Follow up on problem reports and weekly reviews.
• Support DFM and perform drawing checks prior to ECN.
