Job summary

Newrez in Seattle is seeking a purchase-focused REO Loan Officer to convert REO inventory leads into funded loans and lasting mortgage relationships. In a high-velocity environment, you will manage speed-to-contact, advancement of the pipeline, and engagement with buyers and their agents.

You will provide fast pre-approvals, guide clients through the REO purchase process, capture activity in SPARK/SalesForce, and collaborate with listing agents and operations to close loans.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as producing Loan Officer or mortgage originator.
• Strong purchase mortgage experience including pre-approval strategy.
• Active NMLS license required.
• Experience using CRM to manage pipeline and data quality.
• Proven ability to manage a high-volume lead funnel with follow-up discipline.

Responsibilities

• Proactively work REO leads/listings and CRM activity to engage buyers and agents.
• Deliver fast, accurate pre-approvals and guide borrowers through REO purchase process.
• Maintain disciplined follow-up cadence and pipeline movement.
• Convert inbound/outbound opportunities into funded loans; recapture non-purchasers.
• Build rapport with buyers and referral partners; position Newrez as preferred lender.
• Capture all activity in CRM (SPARK/SalesForce).
• Collaborate with listing agents and internal teams to support transactions.
• Advise clients on renovation financing (FHA 203(k), HomeStyle) and investor solutions (DSCR).
• Ensure compliance with licensing; originate only in licensed states.
• Meet/exceed production, conversion, and activity KPIs.
• Participate in training and pipeline reviews; perform related duties.
