Job summary

Jobot, a Tampa-based law firm, seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate to transition from defense into high-stakes construction-related litigation. You will handle complex disputes across the Southeast, including contract and construction matters, with ADR exposure.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice in Florida; Southeastern licensure a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in complex commercial litigation (construction exposure a plus) or insurance defense.
• Strong academic credentials and demonstrated litigation experience.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex commercial litigation, including contract disputes, construction, and high-exposure matters.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Assist clients in ADR, including mediation and arbitration.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements and legal documents.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategy and drive matters toward resolution.
• Provide proactive legal guidance on risk management, compliance, and dispute avoidance.
• Maintain strong client relationships and communicate effectively on case developments.
