Qualifications

• Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Board certification preferred (if extensive experience not present).
• Experience in construction defect and business/commercial litigation.
• Strong motion practice and legal writing skills.
• Ownership of cases, deadline management, and proactive client communication.
• Experience with experts (engineers, architects) is a plus.
• Mediation/arbitration/trial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction defect and business litigation from pre-suit to trial with investigation and expert coordination.
• Litigate disputes involving owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and design professionals.
• Handle contract disputes, commercial torts, partnerships, and other complex civil claims.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs; take/defend depositions; plan discovery strategies.
• Evaluate exposure, shape case strategy, advise on risk, settlement posture, and budgets.
• Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and support trial preparation.
• Collaborate with teammates and staff to keep matters organized and client-ready.
