Job summary

Southern Champion Tray, LP is seeking a Packer Technician for the Amnicola Plant in Chattanooga, TN. The role supports the operator in safely setting up, maintaining, and operating the auto-packer to achieve target run speeds.

The position requires basic computer skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read/understand English. Night shift is 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM EST; responsibilities include setup, troubleshooting, packaging, and quality sampling as part of a fast-paced production team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have basic computer skills and mechanical ability.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot the auto-packer and assist with gluer setup.
• Feed product into the gluer and pack finished product into cases.
• Monitor operation for quality, maintain a clean work area, and follow safety procedures.
• Complete documentation and data entry requirements as needed.
