Job summary

KIK Consumer Products is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor in Salem, VA, to lead a fast-moving filling department and push continuous improvement while keeping the team safe and engaged.

You will guide 3rd Shift Leads and about 25 operators, own critical metrics like output, downtime, and labor utilization, and ensure GMP, sanitation, and audit readiness across shifts. This role requires strong coaching, Lean/6S experience, and hands-on automation knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years in manufacturing with at least 3 years supervising.
• Experience in high-velocity production with safety, quality, and KPI results.
• GMP and 6S/Lean knowledge; ability to train and track compliance.
• Strong cross-functional communication and coaching skills.
• Hands-on with high-speed automation; bottle filling experience a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a fast-moving filling department; remove barriers to flow and drive continuous improvement while keeping safety and engagement.
• Coach 3rd Shift Leads and ~25 operators/technicians; set expectations and monitor performance.
• Own metrics: output, yields, downtime, waste, labor utilization; identify trends and implement fixes.
• Uphold GMP, sanitation, and regulatory standards; keep area audit-ready each shift.
• Run start-of-shift meetings and coordinate with Production, QA, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and HR.
• Plan staffing and redeploy manpower to meet changing demand and attendance realities.
• Apply Lean/6S and reliability tools to cut downtime and lower costs.
• Maintain accurate records: work orders, timecards, labor tracking, quality checks, dashboards.
• Build capability through training, safety programs, and fair corrective actions.
