Job summary

SunOpta's Midlothian plant is seeking an Operations Lead to support leadership and production teams in aseptic filling of beverages and food products. You will supervise the production line, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure GMP and food safety compliance while maintaining clean, safe operations.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting 30–50 lbs frequently, and shift coverage including nights.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Experience in Food manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of business, computers and math.

Responsibilities

• Lead department and ownership of the department, job responsibilities and function.
• Serve as a source of technical knowledge for the production line.
• Develop standard operating procedures and train employees.
• Cover shifts to maintain production.
• Monitor and fix faults and jams; perform quality checks.
