Job summary

Federal Way Public Schools is seeking a Wrestling - Assistant Coach for the Boys team at the high school level. The position runs 3 hours per day with duties focused on skill development, safety, and academic and athletic mentorship for student athletes.

The role requires alignment with WIAA rules, ongoing professional development, and availability for practices and contests, including occasional Saturday sessions. Salary is established per district schedule and DOE.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Prior sport-specific playing and/or coaching experience in a secondary and/or post-secondary athletics program and/or related club coaching experience.
• Preferred: Completion of the National Federation Coaching Fundamentals Course (NFHS) to include passing the test.

Responsibilities

• General coaching duties including instruction of drills and safety.
• Ensure eligibility rules are followed and maintain proper documentation.
• Attend practices and contests; communicate with head coach and athletic director.
