Job summary

Federal Way Public Schools is seeking a dynamic high school assistant coach to help develop student-athletes through skill instruction, leadership, and a commitment to academic and athletic excellence.

You will support the head coach, promote the program in the school and community, and model positive behavior while coordinating with building staff to ensure safety and sportsmanship across practices and competitions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in presenting drills, safety factors, and proper application of skills.
• Prior sport-specific playing and/or coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Professional development and leadership to stay current with sport techniques.
• Promote program within school and community; report scores to media and league sites.
• Attend practices and contests daily; implement head coach directives and maintain safety standards.
