Job summary

27J Schools is seeking a Student Engagement Liaison - High School to mentor and advocate for students facing obstacles to school success who may be at risk of dropping out.

The role focuses on building trust with students and families, creating individualized success plans, and coordinating with teachers and staff to improve attendance and graduation outcomes. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience are required, with bilingual Spanish highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, criminal justice, or human service field.
• Minimum 3 years working with youth at risk of academic failure.
• Spoken and written Spanish/Bilingual skills highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage early warning data systems including student progress, attendance, and behavior to identify students needing support.
• Build supportive relationships with at-risk students and families to identify issues affecting engagement and performance.
• Develop and implement individual student success plans to promote self-advocacy and engagement; monitor progress and effectiveness.
