Job summary

MESA Charter High School is seeking mission-driven educators across all subject areas to join our Brooklyn campuses. This is an exciting chance to contribute to a growing network that puts kids and families first.

Responsibilities include teaching five sections, providing SPED supports, engaging with families, and participating in ongoing professional development under a supportive leadership team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in subject area to be taught (required or implied).
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• New York State Certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach 5 sections at MESA using Universal Design for Learning to reach all learners.
• Provide Special Education supports (Integrated Collaborative Co-Teaching, SETSS, or other interventions).
• Build relationships with students to promote engagement and motivation.
• Hold at least two office hours per week (45 minutes) before or after school.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and common planning times.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student interactions, with at least two positive contacts weekly.
• Teach one week of Intersession enrichment (extra stipend).
• Other duties as assigned by the Principal.

Education

Bachelor's degree in subject area

Master’s Degree preferred

New York State Certification preferred
