High School Special Education Paraprofessional

Join us to apply for the High School Special Education Paraprofessional role at Rocky Mountain Prep.

Each team member contributes to these goals, with role-specific metrics aligned to our Big 5.

In this role, you will:

Support data-driven instruction, foster relationships, and help students meet their goals through one-on-one, group, or small activity support, focusing on sensory, motor, life, and social-emotional skills.

Program areas include:

  • Mild/Moderate: Supporting scholars with IEPs in general and small group settings, collaborating closely with case managers.
  • Centers-Based: Assisting scholars in classroom and general education environments, supporting daily instruction, health, behavior, and recreational activities under the supervision of the Lead Teacher.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist students with severe learning needs to increase independence.
  • Support academic, sensory, art, monetary, domestic, and recreational activities.
  • Supervise in various settings including classrooms, PE, lunchroom, and transit.
  • Monitor records, behavior, and implement behavior plans.
  • Assist with feeding and medical tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Background check clearance
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. (E-Verify)

Preferred:

  • Experience with students with disabilities
  • Experience with elementary students and diverse populations
  • CPI/NCI training
