Job summary

Weber State University is seeking an Academic Year Science Tutor to support Upward Bound high school students during the academic year, primarily Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, and by appointment during the week. The role may include grade-level college preparatory science activities.

This is a pooled position; applicants are selected as positions become available. Hours are 3–5 per week across 9 months, with an hourly pay of $12.00.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or have completed a post-secondary program in the relevant discipline.
• Experience tutoring or mentoring high school students.

Responsibilities

• Provide science tutoring to Upward Bound high school students.
• Tutor Saturdays 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and by appointment throughout the week.
• Occasionally implement grade-level specific college preparatory science activities and lessons.
