Job summary

Weber State University is seeking an Academic Year Math Tutor to support Upward Bound students with algebra and calculus concepts during the school year. Sessions run Saturdays 9:00 am–12:00 pm and by appointment, with additional weekly support as requested.

This is a pooled, hourly position aimed at helping students stay on track and prepare for college math coursework. The ideal candidate is enrolled in a post-secondary program in a relevant math field and has tutoring or mentoring experience

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program with a major in mathematics or a related field.
• Experience tutoring or mentoring high school students.

Responsibilities

• Provide math tutoring to Upward Bound students.
• Offer sessions Saturdays 9:00 am–12:00 pm and additional help by appointment.
• Contribute to a pooled hiring process for future openings.
