The Research Foundation of The City University of New York (RFCUNY) seeks a passionate Science Tutor to support high school students in mastering Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science and related subjects at Medgar Evers College. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher not required but preferred for the role.
  • Experience explaining scientific concepts to high school students preferred.
  • Ability to adapt lessons to different learning styles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one and/or small group tutoring to high school students.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to each student's learning style and goals.
  • Review and explain scientific concepts, lab work, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Help students prepare for classroom exams, standardized tests (e.g., SAT, ACT, AP), and school projects.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with parents, teachers, or academic coordinators.
  • Foster a supportive and motivating learning environment.
  • Facilitate Liberty Partnerships Program Assessments and other LPP tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
