Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors is seeking qualified, dedicated high school science and math teachers and tutors to provide personalized, one-on-one academic support for grades 9–12 in the Northern Los Angeles area.

We value educators who can tailor instruction to each student's learning style, academic needs, and goals, and who are committed to making a meaningful impact beyond the traditional classroom. This is an opportunity for certified teachers, experienced educators, and qualified tutors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, Engineering, or related field required.
• Teaching credential or advanced degree preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutoring for high school students (Grades 9–12) in mathematics and/or science.
• Support students in Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science.
• Assist with homework, study skills, executive functioning, and test prep including AP and SAT/ACT content when appropriate.
• Develop individualized learning plans based on each student's needs and goals.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to families.
• Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
• Travel to students' homes throughout the Northern Los Angeles area.
