Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors is seeking qualified middle school teachers and tutors to provide personalized, one-on-one academic support to students in grades 6–8 in the Northern Los Angeles area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; California teaching credential or equivalent highly preferred.
• Experience teaching or tutoring middle school students.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutoring for middle school students (Grades 6–8).
• Support students in Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies.
• Assist with homework, study skills, executive functioning, organization, and test preparation.
• Develop individualized learning plans based on each student's needs and goals.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to families.
• Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
• Travel to students’ homes throughout the Northern Los Angeles area.
