Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking an Outreach Athletic Trainer to cover day-to-day medical services for high schools and community sports, supporting event medicine as needed. You will work with a Sports Medicine Team to prevent injuries and provide care daily, under physician supervision.

Responsibilities include evaluating injuries, determining return-to-play, managing head injuries, and coordinating referrals while maintaining records and equipment for onsite coverage at designated venues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related human services field is required.
• Current athletic training certification (BOC) and BLS are required/essential.
• Excellent leadership, independent working ability, and strong communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services to high schools and community events.
• Deliver acute medical care on field during practices or events.
• Collaborate with Sports Medicine Team for service excellence.
• Maintain medical coverage logistics, supplies, and documentation.
• Ensure proper return-to-play decisions and injury management.
