Job summary

Atrium Health in Charlotte seeks an Athletic Trainer to provide on-site event coverage for community, amateur, collegiate, and special events across the region.

The role involves evaluating injuries, planning rehabilitation, documenting care, and coordinating with physicians to ensure athlete safety and timely return-to-play. This part-time position supports coverage across facilities and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program.
• Certification through the National Council for Athletic Training.
• State licensure as an Athletic Trainer.
• BLS Certification required.
• Ability to work at events and provide on-site coverage.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates athletes and sports injuries, designs rehab plans and care programs.
• Gathers data from medical records, physicians, athletes and families for care decisions.
• Communicates evaluations and progress to physicians and coordinates schedule, treatment and discharge planning.
• Documents evaluations, tests, progress notes and discharge information.
• Applies supports and braces as needed and uses relevant assistive devices.
• Provides on-site athletic training coverage at events and supports cross-facility coverage.
