Job summary

York City School District is seeking a Medical Assistant Instructor to provide high‑quality classroom, lab and clinical instruction at William Penn Senior High School. The role prepares students for entry‑level Medical Assistant roles or further healthcare education.

The instructor will develop engaging lessons, supervise clinical practice, ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance, and align curricula with PA CTE standards while fostering professionalism and readiness for certification exams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or health sciences education or related field.
• Eligibility to obtain PA Career & Technical Education certification.
• Minimum three years of clinical experience in healthcare settings.
• Experience teaching or training students preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required and clearances.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lessons aligned with state CTE standards and MA competencies.
• Teach administrative and clinical medical assisting skills and procedures.
• Demonstrate clinical techniques and proper use of equipment.
• Incorporate health terminology, pharmacology, and infection control into instruction.
• Assess student performance with written and practical exams.
• Coordinate clinical experiences and cultivate local healthcare partnerships.
