Job summary

Sylvan Learning Center in Bel Air is seeking a Part-Time Math Tutor to deliver high school level math content in a supportive, individualized setting. You’ll help students understand concepts through multiple approaches, building skills and confidence, with a focus on real, tangible progress.

The role offers flexible blocks (up to 5 blocks/night, up to 4 nights/week) and no planning required, with competitive hourly pay up to $21 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Math Education.
• Mastery and relatability of math concepts as high as calculus.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work in 1-hour tutoring blocks.
• Multitask: tutoring as many as three students at a time.
• Observe and record students’ progress through pre-planned curriculum.
• Communicate clearly with Center Directors regarding availability and student concerns.
