Job summary

Sylvan Learning of Cumberland is looking for a part-time Math Tutor to join our after-school program. You will work in a small 3:1 setting, teach math, study skills, SAT/ACT prep and homework support using Sylvan curriculum and iPad-based tools.

We offer $17/hour during training, flexible shifts Monday through Thursday after school or Saturdays 9am-12pm, no lesson planning required, and our directors handle scheduling and parent conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent.
• State teaching credentials preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Sylvan-based programs and personalized learning plans.
• Supervise and motivate students during instruction hour in a 3:1 setting.
• Provide students with instant feedback and document progress.
• Develop rapport and maintain a positive learning environment.
